Through this journey of life my love and passion for cars and design has provided me with the opportunity to accomplish a BA Hons and MA degrees in Automotive and Transport Design. During my time at university I was introduced to and fell in love with Clay Modelling and CMF - Colour, Materials and Finishes Design. Clay modelling provided me with the understanding of form, surfacing, proportion and to have the skill set to transform a 2D sketch into a 3D form that can be touched, felt and developed further.
CMF - Colour, Materials and Finishes Design is a part that brings the design into life. This area of design captivated me as these surfaces are what we see, touch and draw us to the product. The different colours, finishes, textures, materials and combinations is something that really resonated with me.
My fascination with colour, paint, finishes and materials lead me to being a spray painter in the automotive and aerospace industry. I want to combine my knowledge in design and my experience as a spray painter into the design industry.
My additional skills include staying positive and optimistic, listening, researching, analysing, problem solving, creative thinking, report writing and verbal presentation. I am continuously developing myself and have had the opportunity to collaborate, mentor, teach and be part of a team. These experiences have developed my knowledge, work ethic and me as a person.
I have a strong interest in classic cars, automotive history & restoration and brand & product history. My interests have developed into my hobbies as I love working on my own cars doing the maintenance such as servicing, brakes, interior valets, leather conditioning, exterior polishing and detailing. This passion has driven me to taking on project cars that have enhanced my experience and knowledge.
